How to make dandelion salad
Springtime is the best time to cook fresh wild leafy vegetables. You can pick them up in your garden if you have not trimmed them yet. Today I will tell you about cooking from, dandelions, this is a lovely yellow flower, which you can find virtually everywhere. But of course, it is better to collect them far from the main roads.

So let's start with the dandelion salad and I hope you really like it, it is tastier than spinach and it is freely available in every garden and any open space. So, let’s start to make dandelion salad right now!!!

step-by-step instructions

  1. Ingredients.
    • Big bunch of freshly cut dandelions. These are the main ingredients.
    • Carrots - 2
    • Onion - 2
    • Boiled eggs - 1-2
    • Green onion for decoration
    • Salad dressing:
      • Hot chilli - 1 fruit (use less if you don't like very spicy salads)
      • Garlic - 2-3 gloves
      • Korean chilli flakes - Gochugaru - 1 tbsp
      • Fermented Soy paste - Ssamjang - 1 tbsp
      • Soy sauce - 1 tbsp
      • Sesame oil - 1 tbsp
      • Roasted sesame seeds 1-2 tbsp
      • Juice from half lemon

  2. Actually, it is a bit annoying to go to the garden and pick your own fresh leaves. But it is good physical exercise as well, and it takes only 5 minutes to take enough for a good family portion. So, don't be lazy - go to your garden and pick take few dandelion bushes with flowers, but please remove any insects and snails. Try to do not to take too many other grass leaves and old dry branches.

  3. Next step - wash your dandelions. You can wash under runny water, but using a bucket with water will save you a lot. So wash them from all standard garden dirt, and remove old and dried leaves. Remove old flowers and flowers which already make seeds. Later you can cut off the roots.

  4. It is time to make salad dressing and give it some time to mature. Mix all dressing ingredients and set aside. You can check the taste and it should be a bit salty but very lovely.

  5. Julienne carrot and onion. Fry them with a drop of oil. The carrot should be just soft after frying and the onion is better to fry until it turns brown. Set aside to chill them down.

  6. Boil dandelions. They are clean now, so boil enough water and salt it pretty well. Boil dandelions for 5 min.

  7. Roughly chop dandelions and mix all ingredients.

  8. Sprinkle with green onion, sesame seeds and sliced boiled eggs. Enjoy!!!
