Ingredients.
Yellow Split Peas, 0.5 kg
Bacon pork shank.
3 medium potatoes.
Salt
Wash yellow peas and soak it in the water. Soak yellow peas in the water for 12 hours.
Fill soup pot with cold water and place pork shank. Bring it to boil and reduce heat to bring the stock to simmer. Simmer for about 1.5 hours.
At this time the yellow peas will be very soft. Remove all water and add peas to the soup pot. Bring to boil again and immediately reduce heat to bring the stock to a simmer.
Skimming off all foam that comes to the surface.
After 1 hour of simmering with peas, add chopped potatoes, salt to the taste and simmer for another 1.5 hours.
Serve without anything. This soup is beautiful by its own!!!

It is take some long time to make this soup, and it is no point to cook few portions. It is much better to cook whole large soup pot.
