How to make fish-base pizza with mushrooms
Sometimes, very interesting dishes can be made by changing principal components in some classical recipes. In this recipe we will change the bread-base in pizza by sea bass fillet. Probably, it will not be very accurate to call name new dish as pizza. Maybe, the “fish pie” will be more adequate name, but, the way of cooking, allow as to persists on name “pizza”.

step-by-step instructions

  1. Ingredients. Anything to make small layer of vegetables under the fish. Plenty of vegetables and mushrooms on top, nice cheese and a fish.
    • Sea bass. As much as you need to make one layer on the plate.
    • Cherry tomatoes. Choose dark-red well matures fruits. 10-15 fruits
    • Sweet onion, purple onion will be the best. 2 medium size onions.
    • One carrot.
    • Hot chilli. 1 fruit.
    • Mushrooms.
    • Fresh thyme – one or two young sprouts
    • Tarragon – few fresh leaves
    • Graded soft cheese
    • Strong, mature grated cheese
    • Garlic – few cloves
    • Salt, black pepper to the taste.
    • Olive oil – 1-2 tbsp.
    • Dried oregano. Classical Italian spices are very suitable for pizza.

  2. Remove all scales from the fish skin. Use any not very sharp knife.

  3. Remove sea bass head and tail

  4. Fillet all fishes. If the fishes are big, you can open the body from the back, and use each fish for individual pizza.

  5. When the fish is fillet, it is a good time to make fish-based pizza. Add 2 tbsp olive oil into the deep ceramic plate. Cover with sliced carrot, onion tarragon, thyme and some some oregano, salt and black pepper.

  6. Place fish fillet skin down to cover all the plate. Sea bass fillet will be used instead bread base in our pizza.

  7. Add sliced onion, tarragon, thyme, salt, pepper and oregano.

  8. Add sliced mushrooms and piled chopped tomatoes.

  9. Top up with soft and hard cheeses. Add thin stripes of a hot chilli. Put few cherry tomatoes on the top.

  10. Cook 25 minutes at the lowest level in the oven. When the cheese is completely melted and the juice start to boil, put the pizza to the grill. Grill until the cheese will have lovely colour.



tips and tricks

  • You can use any other not very thick fish fillet to make this pizza.
  • Do remember, that grilling of almost ready food should be very careful, because everything can be burnt in a seconds.
