Fennel is a herb with swollen, bulb-like stem, which is very tasty as a raw salad component, or as an ingredient for veggie dishes, or as an individual dish. This recipe will give a simplest idea, how to roast fennel. The roasted fennel can be used as a perfect addition to the side dishes, or as an individual side dish.

  1. Ingredients... This is a simple recipe, for cooking one fennel. One fennel is a perfect extra for one or two peoples.
    • Fennel bulb.
    • Large rock salt. Large sea salt is suitable as well.
    • High quality olive oil.
    • Balsamic vinegar. Use high quality, sweet one.

  2. Cut fennel into a six parts. Don't forget to wash fennel before cutting.

  3. Soak fennel bits in an olive oil. Place all of then in a baking tray. Don't forget to preheat oven to 200 degrees.

  4. Sprinkle fennel bits with a large salt. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar. Place into the oven.

  5. Roast in the oven for 30-40 minutes, until the thin fennel ends start to burns. Serve and enjoy.
