passphrase
A passphrase is a reasonably long sequence of text words, usually with some sense, that controls access to a computer system, program, or data. It is similar to a password, but generally longer and more complex, using multiple words or a phrase instead of a single word. Passphrases are often used to increase a system's or account's security, as they are more difficult to guess or crack through brute-force methods than simple passwords.
